The Sangre Stargazers Astronomy Club
Cancelled
Total Lunar Eclipse—Wednesday, February 20, 2008, 7:00 p.m.
We will meet at Cliff Lanes (west end of Main Street in downtown Westcliffe) at 7:00 p.m for a brief presentation in the
Community Room before going out to view the eclipse. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate for this event as there won't be
another lunar eclipse visible from N. America for three years. This is mostly a unaided eye event, but Saturn willl be just
a few degrees away from the Moon so we and the public will really enjoy seeing it. If you have a telescope or binoculars that
are mounted on a tripod (preferrably), then please bring them around 6:30 p.m. to set-up across the street on the apron to
the Event Field. We will ask the city to turn on the power.
